NPR是National Public Radio,即美国国度大众电台的简称。固然称号是“大众”电台,但是它实践上是一个完全独立的播送实体。

NPR建立于1970年,节目以旧事及综述为主,是美国国际收听率最高的播送电台,面向美百姓众播送。NPR每周和860多个加盟的中央电台一同为约莫两千六百万美国人,也便是天下总生齿的约莫10%,提供播送效劳。
